It is a game of bright colors and pictures for 2 to 4 players, simple to learn and play. The game requires no reading and minimal counting skills, making it suitable for young children. The main objective of Candy Land is to make it to the candy castle before anyone else. The first player who reaches the multi-colored rainbow space at the end of the path wins the game. To play Candy Land, each player chooses a gingerbread man playing piece and places it at the start of the board. Players take turns drawing a card from the top of the deck and moving their playing piece to the next space of the corresponding color. Some cards have special instructions, such as moving a player's piece to a specific area or skipping a turn. The game continues until one player reaches the path's end and wins.
